Physical Education
"The school gives very good attention to promoting healthy eating and physical activity, thereby encouraging the children to adopt healthy lifestyles." ETI 2015
Each child is given the opportunity to take part in a well structured and balance Physical Education Programme. All teachers are trained in Fundamental Movement Skills.
Children from Primary 5 - Primary 7 receive weekly swimming lessons in the nearby leisure centre throughout the year.
Trained members of staff, assisted by qualified coaches, take camogie, netball and basketball after school.
PeacePlayers International coaches visit the school to teach basketball to P4 - P7.
We are very fortunate to have a fully equipped PE Hall, an indoor and outdoor netball court and our own soft surface multi use games area.
We offer a wide range of after school activities including:
- Ceili dancing
- Gaelic football
- Netball
- Creative Dance

Judo After Schools Programme
The girls enjoy the weekly Judo sessions with Danny our coach. Each week a player of the week is chosen who has demonstrated hard work, focus, good technique and skill. There is an opportunity to attend competitions and many of our girls have been awarded trophies for their efforts. The girls are moving up the gradings and earning new belts.
