A Taster of Secondary School Maths

Primary Seven were delighted to welcome Mrs Lamont from Hazelwood College into their classroom this afternoon. Mrs Lamont provided the girls with a little flavour of what a numeracy lesson is like in secondary school. The maths mastery lesson, which was very interactive, was based on the properties of 2D shape. The girls were provided with the opportunity to use geo boards, explored rotational symmetry and answered out with confidence and expertise. We cannot wait to welcome Mrs Lamont back in two weeks time.
