Celebrating Chinese New Year
8th Feb 2016
We have been learning all about the Chinese New Year in PDMU. Did you know that red is considered a lucky colour in China? It represents fire and according to legend can drive away bad luck. We really liked that fact. Mrs Cheung came to visit us and taught us how to count to 10 in Cantonese as well as how to say thank you in Mandarin. It was fun. She also gave everyone a fortune cookie - YUM! We made Chinese paper dolls as part of our art lesson.
