Forest School Fun in Primary 2
Here in Holy Cross Girls' we have been working hard to become a Forest School....this means we are using the Outdoors to help us learn.
We were lucky enough today to have a visit from Danielle from the Northern Ireland Forest School Association.
We learned all about how and why animals camouflage. We took it in turns to hide red and green wooly 'worms' in our garden and then we took it turns to become birds and search for the wooly 'worms'.
Do you think the green or the red worms were easier to find?
After an outdoor snack we made bubble wands. We used branches from the elder tree growing in our school. We used hack saws to cut a wand and tent poles to hollow out our wands. After that we dipped them in a mixture of washing up liquid and water and blew our bubbles!
