Miss Woods from Hazelwood Integrated College has kindly given her time to treat our class to a taster of Home Economic lessons in secondary school.

Last week, the girls undertook a sensory analysis of crisps, sweets and drinks. This week we undertook the same analysis but of different types of fruit. They are learning to use appropriate language to describe the appearance, smell, taste and texture of food.

We are looking forward to our third and final lesson next Friday when the girls will learn how to use utensils correctly to cut and chop fruit and vegetables.
