In WAU Primary One learn about the night....
In our topic about night the children have been chatting about night time routines they have. They had lots of opportunity to act this out in the role play area. They loved adding a sheet over the top to make the house corner a little darker. They investigated different types of torches. Lots of energy was required to wind some up!
In the small world area the pupils played with noctural animals. They had badgers, owls, foxes, hedgehogs and cats.
Following that, they set up a space station with many astronaunts - great for language development. The girls also worked at home finding out who was the first man on the moon. They made absolutely fabulous rockets. Many many thanks to mums, dads, grandparents and other willing helpers. The girls were so proud and were keen to show off their creations to their friends at school, explaining how they were made. Hopefully the adults enjoyed this experience too.
