Listening to The Listeners

Primary 6 spent their Literacy lesson this morning exploring the poem The Listeners by Walter de la Mare. This is an eerie and atmospheric poem and the girls discussed how the poet used language to create this feeling. The girls found examples of alliteration, onomatopoeia, rhyme and personification, before completing some comprehension questions based on the poem.
