Motor Mechanics at Holy Cross Girls’

What a wonderful morning our Primary Seven girls had as they enjoyed an introduction to motor mechanics facilitated by Tyler and Maxi from the Women’s Tec.

The girls learnt all about how to ensure that the tyres on a car are road worthy and even changed the tyre of a car! Next, they had a look under the bonnet of a car. They learnt how to check if a car has sufficient oil levels, where to put screen wash and identified where engine coolant is added and located the battery. The final part of the session focused on the safe use of jump leads to jump start a car should the battery die.

The girls were extremely enthusiastic throughout and felt a great sense of accomplishment at the end of the workshop.
