National Poetry Day

In order to celebrate National Poetry Day today Primary 6 had a look at a lovely poem called “The Book” by Michael Rosen. We listened to the poet read the poem and then practised reciting it. We changed how our voices sounded throughout the poem in order to make it appeal to our listeners and to help our voices convey how we should be feeling about the words in the poem. We discussed whether we would like to fall into a book, and if so what book we would like to fall into. The girls then decided on what happened next.
