Outdoor Learning in Primary One
Outdoor Learning reflects the learning in our classroom. Our current topic is Yum! Yum! Real vegetables were added to our mud kitchen. The girls developed their talking and listening skills as they played in the ice cream shop, taking turns to be shopkeepers and customers….so many flavours to choose from! At the water tray they used the large outdoor space to make channels and investigate the movement of water. The girls have learned how to add two numbers in maths. This skill was very useful in the 'Toss the Beanbag' game. The girls were encouraged to record their score. Then there was an unexpected rain shower. The lovely pictures were transformed and became magic paintings. This has given us new ideas to investigate in art next week!
