P7 girls visit the Relics of St. Bernadette
Four of our P7 girls had the great privilege of joining many other pilgrims from across our diocese to visit the Relics of St. Bernadette in St. Mary’s Church in Belfast. The relics are currently visiting all the dioceses of Ireland, giving us a little taste of the Lourdes experience here in our own country. All of the children of our parish were warmly welcomed by Fr. Tim Bartlett, parish priest of St. Mary’s and native of North Belfast. We then received a blessing with Lourdes water and had an opportunity to get close to the relic and have our rosaries blessed.
Many thanks to Cathy from the St Mary’s team for our VIP treatment and thanks to Mr Wallace from Holy Cross Boys for coordinating the day. It is a memory we will all treasure for a long time.
