Pancake Fun

Primary 5 celebrated Pancake Tuesday today. We measured out all our dry ingredients using our scales, and then added our eggs and buttermilk. While our pancakes were cooking we surveyed the class to find out what toppings everyone wanted to eat - we recorded this in a tally chart on the whiteboard and then everyone created their own bar charts. We discovered that Nutella was the most popular topping, while toffee sauce and lemon and butter were least popular. We will also use this activity to write our own set of instructions for making pancakes. Miss Magill even let us all have a go at flipping our pancakes - thankfully none stuck to the ceiling. Someone even said they were "the best pancakes ever" - better not let mums hear that!
