Science Starz visit Primary Two

Science Starz came to visit us today to conduct scientific experiments. We all had to take on the role of scientists and we even got to wear long white coats! We used red cabbage and water to make a blue liquid. Then we added vinegar to turn the liquid pink. Next we added baking powder to neutralise the acid and make the liquid return to a blue colour. The pupils loved the colour changing experiment and they especially enjoyed seeing the baking powder cause the liquid to foam up and in some cases overflow!
