The Armagh Rhymers
Holy Cross Girls’ were delighted to welcome the Armagh Rhymers to our school to celebrate the Celtic Festival of Bealtaine…traditionally a time to welcome the summer in! We learnt songs, listened to stories and finished up with an impromptu ceílí.
We were also introduced to Babóg and Bealtaine…a special doll made from the last of the wheat from the harvest. She arrived in P2 without a name or a story so we decided to build her a house, decorated in yellow flowers for good luck and we created a story about her…have a listen and see what you think!
