Transition with HiP Psychology

This morning Primary Seven welcomed back Cormac from HiP Psychology. This morning’s workshop focused on the different strategies that the girls can use in preparation for their transition to post-primary school, they interpreted school timetables, participated in an active listening exercise as well as exploring ‘What If’ scenarios specific to post-primary school. They were particularly inspired by the pre-jump routine of Red Bull’s Felix Baumgartner when he was preparing for his parachute jump from the edge of space in 2012. Felix’s story taught the girls that it is important to prepare for the things that we are in control of. As the girls prepare for the next big chapter of their education, it is important that they bear Felix Baumgartner’s story in mind.
