Women's Tec: Building Girls Programme

This morning we welcomed Women's Tec to Holy Cross Girls' where the tutors began their delivery of the 'Building Girls' programme. The Building Girls programme aims to plant the seed in girls' minds about future careers and encourages them to challenge the stereotypes associated with jobs such as joinery and plumbing. 

During the programme, the girls will have the opportunity to learn DIY skills, such as, learning how to use a drill, saw, mark, measure and cut wood.

This morning's workshop focused on developing the girls' skills in using a saw and marking and measuring wood. Our pupils really enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to their next session.  

We are absolutely thrilled to be continuing our partnership with Women's Tec.
