Zoolab
11th Apr 2017
The budding scientists in P5 had a wonderful afternoon interacting with a range of animals brought to visit by Sarah from Zoolab. We met the Giant African snail, a tarantula from Chile, a Corn snake, a Madagascan Hissing Cockroach and Ozzie & Oscar the rats. The girls were very brave and got to hold and touch some of the visitors. It was very interesting and the girls learned a lot about the different animals.
Did you know:
A snail is actually nocturnal?
Female tarantulas live longer than male tarantulas?
Cockroaches have a hard exo-skeleton?
Corn snakes are constrictors and strangle their prey?
